The Challenge
- Irregular narrow layout of gas station premises left fragmented corner space that standard off-the-shelf shelves failed to utilize efficiently;
- Mandatory unified brand visual identity (natural wood tone + signature PetroChina blue) was required across all fixture sets to align with national uSmile VI standard, with multi-tier zoning for snacks, liquor, tobacco and daily necessities;
- On-site installation must be scheduled during off-business hours to avoid interrupting daily fuel sales and in-store customer flow at the operational gas station;
- Ergonomic curved checkout counter was needed to speed up driver checkout, with concealed cable routing and under-counter storage for POS equipment.
Our Solution
1. Custom Design Scheme
Custom curved wrap-around checkout desk, sectional wall-mounted cabinetry and height-adjustable island gondolas based on on-site space measurement. Built-in LED cove lighting matches the store’s timber slat ceiling; blue & white brand color blocking separates liquor, snack and daily goods zones in line with official uSmile brand guidelines.
2. Material & Craft Specification
- Cabinet Body: E1 grade environmental particle board with heat-pressed natural wood veneer, moisture-proof for high-humidity retail environment;
- Countertop: Scratch-resistant white quartz stone for checkout area, customized baked blue paint panels for brand accent zones;
- Lighting: Recessed diffused LED strip lights inside shelves + UV soft film backlit lightboxes;
- Hardware: Thickened cold-rolled steel hinges & anti-slip adjustable shelf brackets for frequent restocking and assembly.
3. Production & Delivery Plan
Modular prefabrication at factory for easy segmented transportation; staggered nighttime on-site assembly to bypass peak daytime business hours of the gas station.
